what fam means to us
What family means to me. Family means never giving up on each other. When times get tough we should always be able to rely on our family to get us through it. The people we meet in our lives may come and go but your family will always be there, you can’t deny your blood. Family also means forgiveness. We each have to learn to forgive any issues we may have with each other. Without forgiveness there is no way for a family or relationship to grow or flourish. Family also means courage. You have to have the courage to say or do whatever you need to help your family. Every problem has a solution, communication between your family will be key in finding that solution. Family also means love. Love has to be the most important aspect of family. The time you spend with your family is a way to show your love. Nothing says I love you more than taking the time to give yourself to your family. Having a movie night, game night, or simply having a family dinner and have a conversation without any distractions. TV off, phones put away, and just have an old fashioned engaging conversation.
I’ve been with the same woman for 30 years. There have been ups and downs but we work on our relationship every day. I fall in love with her more and more each day. We have three grown boys and we are as close as a father and mother can be to their child. We have our issues but we don’t let it define our relationship. We work through them until we have a resolution. That’s what keeps us so close. My wife and I are not experts by any means on how to raise a family and stick together but we may have some similar experiences that you can relate to. That’s why we have put together Family is King.
