After several years in the military and an extended time away from his wife and three kids. Dre decided it was time to close the door on this chapter and focus on family. His next career would allow more time with his family without the stress of a possible deployment. After 14 years with one company, it took one weekend for him to understand that the time he has had with his family was not enough. The lingering question “Why am I holding out on my potential?” Again, there was need for change! With the support of his wife, he decided there is no time like the present. This is why Family is King was formed. It is a platform for the FAMILY to prosper and be together. We met when we were 15. She walked in, well, hopped in on crutches while I was at work. This was one of the most beautiful girls I have ever laid my eyes on in high school and she was right in front of me! I tried to play it cool as she seduced me for 2 hats for free. I gave them up but for the price of her phone number. I called that night and we talked til we fell asleep and I knew I wanted to be with this woman. Fast forward 3 years later we were married with a 1 year old child! We were young and didn’t know where we were headed, all we knew is wherever we went we wanted to get there together. Fast forward 26 years and we’ve had our ups and downs but we never gave up on each other! Pushing each other to strive for greatness! We were rookies then and I’m not saying we’re pros now but this is the mentality that we have taught our 3 boys! Always strive for greatness! God has put us in this situation and we are going to make the very best of it! I will never regret any of the choices I have made whether good or bad they have helped us grow as a strong family unit! This woman has had my heart since the day she extorted me and will have it for life!
